Our Policy
Society for Handicapped Citizens may share financial donor mailing lists with other non-profits for a one-time use by the other non-profit. If you are a financial donor to the Society for Handicapped Citizens, you may request that we withhold your mailing information from any list exchanges with other non-profits.

We Care About Doing It Right
In addition to maintaining privacy and security controls over information you share with us, the Society for Handicapped Citizens works to accurately process your contribution information. During business hours, staff are available to answer questions about your financial donation at (330)722-1900.
Society for Handicapped Citizens employs error checking procedures to make certain transactions are processed completely and accurately. As necessary, changes are made to improve our systems. And, independent external and internal audits are conducted to ensure the privacy, security and appropriate processing of your information on our site.

How Do We Use "Cookies"?
Society for Handicapped Citizens makes limited use of browser "cookies." A "cookie" is a small piece of information sent by a web server to your web browser that can later be read back from that browser. This is useful to the web server, allowing it to remember who you are. A cookie cannot be used to get data from your hard drive, get your email address or steal sensitive information about you. A cookie can be used to track where you travel over a particular site. This same site tracking can be done without using cookies however; the use of a cookie does make the tracking data more consistent.

Note to Parents on Our Privacy Policy
Society for Handicapped Citizens welcomes children to learn more about our organization and, where appropriate, find opportunities to serve through Society for Handicapped Citizens training programs and volunteer activities. However, we encourage this to be done only with their parent's knowledge and supervision. For this reason, the Society for Handicapped Citizens follows the guidelines for interactive electronic media published by the Children's Advertising Review Unit of the Better Business Bureau.
