The SHC, The Arc of Medina County, partners with individuals with disabilities and their families to provide a full range of services to assist them in living a quality life in their chosen community.
H.O.P.E. Scholarship Applications Available
Each year, SHC/The Arc of Medina County offers the H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Pursue Excellence) Scholarship to two (2) individuals in the amount of $1,000. The H.O.P.E. Scholarship was established to assist SHC Members or an unmarried child or grandchild of a Member in their efforts to gain a higher education in a disability related field as defined by the SHC Scholarship Committee. P.A.G.E Presents: Medicaid, Waivers and More
The Parent Advisory Group and Education (P.A.G.E.) is ready to kick off 2012 with Medicaid, Waivers and More. Gary Tonks, Executive Director of The Arc of Ohio, will provide the latest information about Medicaid, SELF Waivers, and the new education scholarship. Mark your calendars for this educational opportunity on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the NEW P.A.G.E. Join national expert, Pete Wright, Esq. on February 23, 2012 for a one day Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy training in Akron, Ohio. Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates and attorneys who represent children with disabilities regarding special education.
